On-line Resources for Kids & Families
Here is a great starter list of links to on-line resources (indoor & outdoor) from DIY activities to school curriculum and bird-themed crafts for you and your family to enjoy if you are home.
A great starting place is Audubon’s AUDUBON FOR KIDS page, and the Audubon at Home site. Follow along here for lots of new things to do.
New! Prairie Immersion Videos
Get into the tallgrass prairie 'virtually' with these fun videos. Prairie Immersion is an education program where every fourth grade student in the Lincoln Public Schools visits a prairie in the fall. Half of the students go to Spring Creek Prairie and half visit Pioneers Park Nature Center. The program is a collaborative effort of SCPAC, PPNC, and the Lincoln Public Schools Science and Social Studies departments.
Check out some fun events to see how you compare to what birds can do.
Virtual Field Trip Video Series
Take a field trip from your own home: Check out our YouTube station for some fun and, yes, informational presentations about the different habitats and animals at Spring Creek Prairie.
