Are you ready to explore the wonders of winter bird watching? Join us for a free, fun, and educational experience with Jason St. Sauver, also known as “The Birdnerd”!
This event from Conservation Nebraska will dive into the secrets of observing birds during the colder months, with insights on how to attract them to your yard and tips for identifying winter bird species.
Plus, we will introduce you to the Great Backyard Bird Count – a community science project where you can help track bird populations in your own backyard! This is a perfect chance to engage with nature, learn from an expert, and contribute to bird conservation.
Please note, this is an in-person event OR you can join through Zoom. The Zoom portion will conclude at 2:00pm. The in-person event includes a 30-minute bird watching hike, weather permitting after our presentation.
Joining in-person? Let us know you're coming by registering here.
For information on joining the program on Zoom, see Conservation Nebraska's Facebook page.
No bird-watching experience necessary. Bring your curiosity, and let’s celebrate our feathered friends this winter.
*Please note that due to the unpredictable nature of Nebraska's weather, the in person event may be switched to a zoom only event. Changes to the event will be communicated at least 24 hours prior to the event start.
