Public Programs

Bird and wildflower walks, family nature experiences, poetry and gardening workshops, and lots more offered year-round.

Spring Creek Prairie offers a variety of programs throughout the year, such as wildflower and bird walks, family programs about fireflies and other wildlife, art and poetry workshops, and lots more. Click on the Events tab above for a list of current offerings.

Some programs require on-line registration; for others, call 402-797-2301 or e-mail us to be put on the program list. (See the list of programs on the Events tab above for details.)  Everyone who registers by e-mail will receive a confirmation reply. If a class has already filled up, you will receive a message indicating this and you will be put on a waiting list and notified if space opens. Class sizes are limited, so sign up early. Unless the program requires pre-payment through on-line registration, payments (cash, check, credit card) are accepted on day of class.

Are group tours available? Yes. A 45-minute to one-hour guided tour is $10/person (minimum of 6 people). Topics can be general in nature, or can highlight specific prairie themes such as history, birds, wildflowers, etc.
