“Avian Inspired” is a quilt exhibition that commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Migratory Bird Act. The quilts featured in the exhibition will be on display at Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center until September 28.
“Avian Inspired” is by Fiber Works, a group of fiber artists including Jo Drueke, Sheila Green, Merrilee Hansen, Dorothy Heidemann-Nelson, Cynthia Levis, Roxann O’Hare, Lynne O’Rourke, Peg Pennell, Marilyn Rembolt, and Pat Stava.
Some of the birds featured in the exhibition are endangered; Fiber Works hopes that the display will “serve as a reminder of the beauty of birds and what we could lose.”
To see “Avian Inspired” by Fiber Works, stop by Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center between 9 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday, or 1 pm to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
If you would like more information about the exhibition, call (402) 797-2301 or e-mail us.
