Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center will be hosting family-friendly picnics on June 22 and June 29 starting at 7:30 pm. The series will have activities focused on the bright bugs of the prairie: fireflies.
Participants can “enjoy the Nebraska sunset and all kinds of family-fun activities about fireflies.” The program is designed for child/adult teams to participate together, so families are encouraged to attend. “There is no better place to learn about fireflies than at the prairie,” said Jason St. Sauver, Education Director at Spring Creek Prairie. “It will be a fun experience for everyone in the family.”
Registration is required for each Firefly Family Picnic; cost is $10 per family. The event is BYOP (Bring Your Own Picnic) as food will not be provided.
